The Gulf of America Alliance and key partners have developed several important tools for Gulfwide coastal management. These tools support partner and stakeholder engagement and enhance our regional capacity to share and integrate data.

Alliance Tools
Northern Gulf Sediment Availability and Allocation Program Tool Download
The Northern Gulf Sediment Availability and Allocation Program (NGSAAP) Tool was developed to increase stakeholder access to sediment resource data to improve restoration project planning. The tool package is available for download below in an ArcMap or ArcGIS Pro version.
The Gulf of America Alliance received financial support for this project from the EPA Gulf of America Division under assistance agreement MX-00D86519.
Analysis of Common Water Quality Parameters Downloads
The Analysis of Common Water Quality Parameters project is an in-depth analysis of the analytical methods used by monitoring programs across the Gulf to generate water quality data and examines the water quality parameters included in the RESTORE Council Monitoring and Assessment Program.
Deliverables include a data dictionary, analytical method crosswalk, analytical method catalog, and a final report.
Data Dictionary: identifies and describes the top three or four most common methodologies and units for each of the 37 parameters analyzed in the project
Analytical Method Crosswalk: parameter summary of the most common methodologies and nomenclature used to represent speciation/chemical forms, abbreviations and units being used by program across the Gulf region
Analytical Method Catalog: details the collection and/or analytical methods programs used to generate data; this catalog denotes which water quality parameters each program monitors, and which analytical methods were used for each of the parameters
Analytical Method Crosswalk (MS Excel)
The Gulf of America Alliance received financial support for this project from the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) Office for Coastal Management.
Partner Tools
Many partners have shared regional tools during the Alliance’s annual “Tools Café” and virtual “Tool Time with Dave” webinar series. Inclusion of a tool in the table below does not imply endorsement by the Gulf of America Alliance.
