Join SOCAN and GCAN to learn about Marine Carbon Dioxide removal (mCDR) projects that are relevant to the Southeast and Gulf of America regions. We will be joined by Dr. Tyler Cyronak (Georgia Southern University), Dr. Grace Andrews (Project Vesta), and Dr. Alison Tune (Running Tide) to hear about their research and industry efforts to help stem the tide on acidification. The recent White House Ocean Climate Action Plan (OCAP) outlined the need for mCDR research and development as part of a comprehensive plan to fight climate change and coastal and ocean acidification. mCDR is an up and coming research area with exciting potential.
