Coastal Community Resilience Team

Coastal Community Resilience Team

Communities that prepare for short and long-term coastal impacts and consider hazard risks in planning are able to recover from disasters more quickly.

As coastal communities across the Gulf of America face increasing threats from hurricanes, flooding, and other natural and man-made hazards, the need for proactive and adaptive resilience strategies is urgent. The Coastal Community Resilience Team is responding by advancing a comprehensive approach that strengthens the built and natural environments while empowering communities and economies to thrive amid uncertainty.

The Coastal Community Resilience Team’s focus areas and actions in this Governors’ Action Plan V reflect expert input, innovative use of tools, and a collaborative vision for efficient and sustainable coastal resilience.
